Introduction

Victims’ stories were our inspiring power along the design process journey.
"Man, losing your work hurts more than losing a part of your body.” A guy said.
“We are weird to people as if we are guilty not victim" An old man said.
"Dad, won't I play with friends anymore?” a child said.
All these suffering stories refer that there is a great gap between society and patient.

Also,

The site is 50,000m² of green areas which acts as urban context lungs and the only view for the surroundings buildings, also the site itself will have no possible view.

Concept

The concept comes as a result of treating all these challenges using one integrated solution.
We decided to give hand for the patients to take the first step of giving towards society by cutting a part of project site as a public park to make use of the interaction between the patient and society in treatment plan.
We created interactive spaces and building inside the park like:

Workshops where patients can offer products they made to return as an active member.
Playground where they can practice sports again.
The mosque where the open discussions are made about the misunderstanding about Islam, that’s why the mosque is the core of our design.

On the other hand, the park provides a good view for our buildings as well as the surrounding building.

To abstract

What the patient really need is to integrate into society, and that’s our goal.

.فجوة واسعة بين المجتمع ومرضاه نجدها في كل قصص المرضى وضحايا الإرهاب

.تبلغ مساحة الموقع ٥٠٠٠٠ متر مربع من المساحات الخضراء التي تمثل رئة السياق الحضري والمطل الوحيد للمباني المحيطة به

الفكرة التصميمية

".التعامل مع كل تلك التحديات بحل واحد متكامل"
في خطة العلاج قررنا مساعدة المرضى ليخطوا خُطوتهم الأولى في العطاء، بتخصيص جزء من موقع المشروع

. كمنتزه عام للاستفادة من التفاعل بينهم وبين المجتمع

:تم خلق مساحات ومبانٍ تفاعلية داخل ذلك المنتزه
.ورش عمل تتيح إمكانية عرض منتجات من صنعهم كأشخاص منتجين لهم دور فعال في المجتمع -
.ملعب لممارسة الرياضة -
- مسجد للخوض في نقاشات مفتوحة حول المفهوم الخاطئ عن الإسلام، ونتيجة لذلك المسجد هو قلب تصميمنا -

. الذي يربط بين المشروع كمساحات علاجية ومساحات ترفيهية تفاعلية بين المرضى وأفراد المجتمع
.على الجانب الآخر يمثل المنتزه مطلًا جيدًا لكتل المشروع كما للمباني المحيطة -

إيجازًا

. الحاجة الملحة للمريض هي عودته للاندماج بمجتمعه، وهي حاجتنا كذلك
